Warm analog sound with headroom - Better than digital which has no headroom. When digital peaks, distortion is heard (noise).
So, the levels have to be just right with no "peaks" (digital for clipping), hopefully. These peaks can be fixed
with digital editing.
Analog tape can be more forgiving.
For example, you can sing or play louder on tape before it starts peaking (clipping). It also has a "breathing"
quality to it. More dynamic. Old Skool for sure, & you have to buy the tape. Tape just sounds better. We can track on
analog tape, dump those tracks to ProTools & mix/edit in digital. We can even dump the mix back to tape again to warm
it up some more.
